- Tracking data — session identifiers and cookies used to remember your progress

- To process your claim — verifying your identity, searching for finance agreements in your name, and submitting your claim to our partner firms

- To run soft credit checks — to identify potential car finance agreements (these do not affect your credit score)
- To improve our service — analysing how our website is used so we can make it better
- To comply with legal obligations — meeting our regulatory requirements as an FCA-authorised firm

- Consent — you give us explicit consent to contact you and process your claim when you tick the consent checkbox and sign your application
- Contract — processing is necessary to provide the claims management service you have requested

- fairpcp_prospect — remembers your claim progress so you can resume if you leave and come back (expires after 7 days)
- fairpcp_refid — stores your referral source (expires after 30 days)
These are all strictly necessary cookies required for the service to function. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
8. Data security
We take the security of your data seriously. All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS. Your personal data is stored on secure servers and access is restricted to authorised personnel only.
9. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to process your claim and comply with our legal obligations. Typically this means:
- Active claims — data is retained until the claim is concluded
- Completed claims — data is retained for 6 years after conclusion, in line with regulatory requirements
- Incomplete applications — data is deleted after 12 months of inactivity
10. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (where there is no legal reason for us to keep it)
- Restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data
